Foreign high-level talents applying for permanent residence

First, the conditions for doing business: Senior professionals in the industry who have been hired as foreign high-level talents recognized by the relevant Chinese Government departments or by the Shanghai's talent department.  They can also be hired and recognized as high-level talent by the Shanghai Science and Technology Innovation department, and they must have completed 3 consecutive years of work in Shanghai with a working-class residence document classified as a high-level “talent”, and has been recommended by the current work unit.  If the applicant meets those conditions, he or she can apply for permanent residence for foreigners. The foreign spouse of the above-mentioned persons and unmarried children under the age of 18 may apply for permanent residence with the applicant.
